In the game, you’ll simultaneously draw from a personal shuffled deck of tiles. You’ll then place it down within your frame where at least 1 of your trains will move, granting you 1 point for every border crossed. You’ll try to get your trains to travel through as many borders as possible while ending up at stations before your opponents as the first players to a station will score more points. If your trains share a track though, they’ll collide and you’ll lose them. And the game will end once everyone’s trains have either collided or are at a station
“Make no mistake, this is an easygoing game, perfect for a casual or family crowd. It may not be right for a gamer who enjoys real crunchy gameplay and contentious player interaction. But for its lightweight and accessible gameplay, I cannot recommend it highly enough. As my 12-year-old son said after his first session: "I just REALLY LIKE this game!" That's how we all felt.”

A game about transforming dice. You start with standard six-sided dice, and throughout the course of the game you can remove sides and replace them with other sides that let you do all sorts of wonderful things. Every time you score points, you get closer to finding Rattlebones and, er, winning the game. Yes, winning! It's an experience to six-sided-die for!
“Of any dice-driven game that has come out in recent years, Rattlebones has the highest number of ways to mitigate luck. It is so successful at doing this that gamers really make their own luck through available choices. The end result is that both the winner and loser can and should take ownership of the result of each and every game.”

A lightweight strategy game with strong thematic elements, a simple ruleset and a brisk playtime. You have come into possession of many pieces of Morgan's map. Every time the fragments are rearranged, they magically point to the right place to dig! But other pirates have found parts of the magic map as well, so now you must race your fellow pirates to see who can collect the most valuable treasures before the map fades to dust forever.
“First of all, the theme works really well. The rules are easy, but there are some restrictions on how the map may be manipulated. If your gateway/family gamers can handle Carcassonne, they should be fine. Essentially, there is a map where everyone moves their piece around to try to find treasure. The location of the treasure is based on two things: the current state of the map and the cards in your hand. You can manipulate the map to make it fit the cards in your hand, which is the hook of the game.”

A light card game with strategic elements you never had in the version from your childhood. The color of your chair when the music stops determines which cards you score, both from your hand and from the cards already played. If two or more players end the round on the same chair, a "butt battle" must take place, with players having the option to play cards from their hands in order to claim the chair. Players can also claim special cards and special power tokens during the game.
“A lot like Moving Day, Musical Chairs is a prime example of 'anything can be a board game if you try hard enough', and both pull it off in an impressively true-to-the-theme way. Just like in a real-life game of musical chairs, there's an element of repetition and unpredictability. There are some elements that really make you think ahead. We weren't sure what to expect going into this one, but actually ended up enjoying the play.”

The game is played over a series of rounds in which players simultaneously play sailing cards from their hands. The card values define the turn order, how far ships can move on the board, and where a player’s pirates may be placed on the board. Depending on where they are placed, pirates may receive glory, treasure tokens, or barrels. The cards may also provide bonus actions that players can use to gain an advantage over their opponents. When pirates occupy all of the spaces on an island, the player with the most pirates on that island will gain the most glory.
Glory Islands features easy-to-learn rules and fast, simple turns. You must outwit your opponents to claim fame and fortune. It has two different game boards and also includes a mini-expansion in the main game box.
