Dune War for arrakis

The Dune War for Arrakis Tournament at Fling.con Board Game Convention schedule will be outlined below, purchasing a ticket for the Tournament means you agree to be at the appropriate table at the appropriate times.

Thursday January 23rd 2024 - 4:00pm in the Bluebonnet Hall

Friday January 24th 2024 - 9:30am in the Bluebonnet Hall

Saturday January 25th 2024 - 9:00am in the Bluebonnet Hall

You MUST have full knowledge of how to play Dune War for Arrakis before the tournament begins, as the game will not be taught beforehand. Each game will be played with the base game only (No expansions, nor possible futures). The rulebook will be available for use at each table. 

Prior to the start of each game, the tournament coordinator will present a draw bag to the players of each game, that will contain the six cones of silence. Each player will pull one cone of silence at a time until he/she has pulled two of the same. That will determine which player plays which faction for that game. 

Rules disputes - The tournament coordinator will be the decisive factor in all rules disputes.

The Tournament will be held in a bracket, single elimination, advance and win format. Each player will be sent a digital format of the bracket once it is complete via e-mail. In addition, there will be a foam poster board displayed at the tournament site with a visual of the bracket. At the conclusion of each game, both participants are to report the victory outcome to the tournament coordinator.
